Frosty Blossoms on the Other Shore

On the night the blood moon hung overhead, Lin Village was reduced to scorched earth. The young Lin Shou awoke amid a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood, only to see an unfamiliar, breathtakingly beautiful face reflected in the water. He had become her. Before the agony of losing his family and the shock of his transformed body could subside, a broken message came from the jade pendant he wore close to his skin: she had offered the blood of the entire village as a sacrifice, fallen into demonic corruption, and forced her way into the Blood Condensation Realm.

From then on, Lin Shou no longer existed. There was only Ling Shuang. She wrapped herself in a black robe stained with blood, hid her peerless beauty in the shadows, and entered the perilous world of cultivation like a lone wolf. At a tavern in Qingshi Town, she used one blade to kill another; along a desolate mountain road, she tempered her sword with baleful energy. Surrounded by enemies, she wove a vast and intricate web.

While the world called the “Sword Immortal of the Other Shore” cold-blooded and merciless, on a rainy night in a shabby alley she swallowed a coarse, stale bun for the sake of a child. While the various factions saw her as a malevolent troublemaker, she was already making her moves on the board, causing her enemies to crumble from within. Her path was neither righteous nor evil. She wielded the methods of an asura to protect others, and fed a blazing desire for revenge with boundless hatred.

Where will this blood-soaked, tear-stained path to immortality ultimately lead? When her peerless beauty is reflected along her sword's edge, can she carve a glimmer of light through this cannibalistic cultivation world, caught between destruction and rebirth?
