Mirrors and Pain: The Phantom Orphan of Hunter X Hunter

On the dark fringes of Hunter x Hunter, deep in the garbage heaps of Meteor City, a soul from another world awakens. Lin Xi, a 21st-century college student, opens her eyes to find herself a “Phantom Orphan,” abandoned by the world. In this wasteland ruled by violence and schemes, she struggles to survive with the Mirror Realm ability granted by a mysterious System. It lets her copy other people's Nen Abilities, but at the cruel cost of sharing their pain.

When Hisoka appears as a twisted battle maniac and sees her as “fruit that will ripen”; when Chrollo Lucilfer coldly and rationally tries to exploit her value; when Illumi Zoldyck approaches with a killer's instincts, yet finds himself drawn to her sincerity, Lin Xi realizes that what she copies is not just abilities, but also the fates entwined with other people's. Every instance of shared pain is a touch between souls; every copied ability marks the beginning of a bond.

Amid the schemes of the Hunter Association, the shadows of the Phantom Troupe, and the maelstrom of the Dark Continent, every choice Lin Xi makes affects the balance of this world. In the end, she must face a choice: shut down the System and return to her peaceful past, or remain in this other world where pain and love intertwine, redefining the rules in her own way.
