The Mystery of the Abandoned Village

A five-person expedition team called “Wilderness Quest for Truth” enters Wuyin Village, a forbidden place that has vanished from the map, each member with their own agenda. Team leader and streamer Qin Tian is looking for a sensational story to win a bet. Medical doctoral student Guo Yumeng is searching for the sister who disappeared there ten years ago. Programmer A Zhe is Qin Tian’s ally in pursuit of profit. Supernatural enthusiast Xiao Wei carries the private trauma of a relative who vanished during her childhood. Environmentalist Lao Bai’s true identity remains a mystery. From the moment they enter the village, their compass stops working, objects move on their own, and children’s rhymes echo in the dead of night... The dense fog swallows everything like a living thing. The abandoned houses form a twisted maze, magnifying everyone’s secrets and fears. The eerie events are no accident: they seem intricately bound to the hidden motives of every intruder. Gradually, the group discovers that they are not explorers at all, but pawns under the gaze of some ancient will. As fragments of the truth fall into place, can they unravel the curse behind the fog? Or are they themselves part of the curse? This is a story of greed, trauma, obsession, and redemption. In the desolation of the wilderness, human nature will face its cruelest trial.
