A Chinese Entertainment Director: Starting with Goodbye Mr. Loser

Lin Zhou transmigrated into a parallel world. Everything here was the same as before, except that none of the movies and TV shows from his old world existed. Shen Teng was still doing comedy sketches, Ma Li hadn’t made it big, and the masterpiece Goodbye Mr. Loser didn’t exist! With only two thousand yuan in his pocket, he dug up a script and went looking for investors, enduring accusations that an amateur was messing around. The financiers laughed at his delusions, and even Shen Teng’s team had their doubts. Lin Zhou bet everything he had and fought tooth and nail to bring the two skeptical leads together for a film. Who could have guessed the movie would blow up as soon as it hit theaters? “Just Once” was sung on every street, jokes from Goodbye Mr. Loser took over the internet, Shen Teng and Ma Li became top-tier stars, and Lin Zhou went from a penniless nobody to a dark horse in Chinese entertainment! His next film, The Richest Man in Xihong City, is ready to go. He’s going to make the Chinese entertainment industry in this parallel world belong to the Lin family!
