After transmigrating to My Little Pony, Lin Tao discovers that his [Omniscient Library] is a useless, looks-based scam. From the start, it gives him A Sow's Guide to Postpartum Care, leaving him a hundred thousand miles away from his dream of becoming a literary plagiarist.
As if that weren't enough, he stumbles right into the cult's lair in Equality Town, where the fanatical young pony Starlight Glimmer forcibly "purifies" the limited-edition mark on his flank.
To get his power back, he has to put on a show. Using Basic Physics and Psychology, he turns the town upside down, only to accidentally turn his followers into yandere devotees who worship him like a god.
All he wants is to lie flat and make a run for it, but somehow he becomes Equestria's mentor in the technological revolution.
After overcoming countless hardships, he finally reaches the pinnacle of the world, only to discover in horror that every struggle and triumph of his was scripted long ago by a being known as the "Author."
Facing this supreme manipulation, Lin Tao adjusts his monocle and cries out into the void, his voice a mix of helplessness and defiance:
"I can't believe this crap! I'm done acting in this lousy script!
You've got a pen? Then let's see whose ending is more exciting!
If you've got the guts, join me and let's start a rebellion!"
Discord (grinning wickedly): "The new script says you'll trip and land flat on your face next second, and I'm your dad!"
Lin Tao (leaping to his feet in a rage): "Shark! I..."
Shark (flipping through the manuscript leisurely): "That line isn't in the script, but we can add it. Also, the new script says Fluttershy divorced you, Discord."
Discord (darkening): "Son, let's rebel!"
