Honkai Impact 3rd: Song of the Nameless, Traces of a Lingering Dream

[No System + No Transmigration + Plot-Driven]

Kevin looked at Xiao Yu and asked, “Do you still dream?”

“Of course.”

Thinking back on those dreams, Xiao Yu said softly, “I often dream about our past, as if I’ve met each of them all over again.”

“But that’s exactly why I should see this scenery they never got to see on their behalf.”

“…”

Kevin fell silent.

Xiao Yu knew exactly what he was thinking.

The present civilization was nowhere near as advanced as the one before it, and the Herrschers of this era were limited by that. Herrschers who fought for humanity were little more than a joke in the face of true Honkai.

“But so what?”

Xiao Yu lifted her head and looked straight into Kevin’s deep eyes. “Humanity will defeat Honkai in the end, won’t it?”

“Even looking across so many World Bubbles, there has never been a world that is absolutely perfect. Even the happiest times always hold some [regret].”

“That’s why I exist, and why I fight: until I turn this world into the one I hope it can be.”

“You’re doing the same, aren’t you?”
