The Scriptures Were Barely Finished When Brother Monkey Tore Out a Page and Gained a Divine Ability

When modern librarian Su Yu wakes up, she discovers that she has transmigrated and become a… book? Worse, she is the sacred scripture from the Western Heaven that Tang Sanzang has long dreamed of! Before she can even process what has happened, a furry monkey paw reaches out and, with a ripping sound, tears out one of her pages!

[Ding! Page damaged. You have comprehended a fragmentary-page ability: Fiery Golden Eyes (Beginner Edition)!]

Su Yu: “???” From then on, the journey west takes a bizarre turn.

Sun Wukong spends every day scheming about how to “tear” some supernatural abilities from her for self-defense.

Zhu Bajie keeps wanting to soak her in water to see if he can “soak” a wife from Gao Village out of her.

Sha Wujing wipes the dust off her every day, hoping to polish her until she develops a patina and becomes an ultimate magic treasure.

Tang Sanzang, meanwhile, holds her and recites scriptures every day. The chanting gives her a pounding headache, but also helps her attain mastery of Buddhist teachings! The demons and monsters no longer want to eat Tang Sanzang’s flesh, because a living scripture can let them become immortals on the spot!

The gods and Buddhas across the heavens are no longer at ease, because this scripture that can cultivate on its own and even run away is the only shortcut to attaining the Primordial Dao!

Faced with the whole universe coveting her, Su Yu says, “Don’t mess with me. If you do it again… I’ll write myself an ending, and you’ll all be done for!”
