【No Sucking Up to the Royals】 By a twist of fate, Lin Shu transmigrates to the Tang Dynasty during the Zhenguan era and becomes an orphan with no father or mother in a village on the outskirts of Chang'an. Fortunately, the villagers are all kind, allowing Lin Shu to grow up without trouble. Ten years later, Lin Shu finally awakens the System. With the System's help, Lin Shu leads the entire Lin Family Village out of poverty and into prosperity. From then on, everyone in the village has clothes to wear, food to eat, and a home to live in. They travel by carriage and have doctors to treat them when they fall ill, living peaceful and prosperous lives. Until one day, several grain merchants arrive in the village, claiming to be imperial merchants and offering to buy the village's grain. Unexpectedly, the merchants want to haul the grain away before paying, and leave behind a contract stating that if they have not paid within a month, the villagers can take the contract to Chang'an and enter the imperial court as officials. Lin Shu refuses to let them freeload: pay up or get lost. I transmigrated with a System, and you still expect me to be a dog for the Li Tang royal family?
