The Heavenly Sword's Hidden Saint: Yi Jifeng

After transmigrating into The Young Zhang Sanfeng as Yi Jifeng, young master of the Famous Sword Manor, He Jiutian is overjoyed, until he realizes he has been handed the script of a doomed supporting character.

In the original story, the major villain, Prince Xiaoyao, can crush him with a single finger. He Jiutian feels the chill at his neck and rewrites his life story overnight: martial glory is all nonsense. Staying alive and taking down the villain from the shadows come first!

From then on, the martial world gains a “master actor” for a young master.

He appears to train hard in his family’s swordsmanship, while secretly using physics to improve his technique. He becomes sworn brothers with Zhang Junbao, telling him, “Brother Bao, hold the line! The future depends on you taking the hits!” He even steals Zhao Yu’er away from her destined match, relying on modern social skills and late-night heart-to-hearts.

At the Famous Sword Tournament, he “carefully manages his score,” crushing the nobodies while “narrowly losing” to Zhang Junbao to flatter him into greatness. Behind the scenes, he anonymously slips the hero’s group clues about Prince Xiaoyao’s conspiracy, then vanishes without taking credit.

Even after mastering the peerless technique “Eight Swords Soaring Together,” he suppresses its spectacle and pretends he has only “grasped the basics,” then leaves the martial world with his beloved, claiming he needs to “travel and consolidate his cultivation.”

Yet Prince Xiaoyao’s shadow never lifts. When Zhang Junbao finally becomes a grandmaster and faces Prince Xiaoyao head-on, He Jiutian, who has been lying low behind the scenes all along, finally lays his ultimate trap:

Nine swords unite, and the Heavenly Sword emerges!

But no one expects that the ultimate battle of this “Heavenly Sword Ancestor” will still involve digging a pit and setting a trap, using the power of heaven and earth... to kill the great demon who, to his dying breath, cannot understand, “If he could fight me head-on, why did he still have to ambush me?”

From doomed supporting character to martial-world legend, he owes his success not to head-on battles, but to a mastermind’s cunning and a sword heart free of regret.
