I Am the Immortal of This World!

On his way home for National Day, Yun Ling dozed off on a train. When he woke, he witnessed Pangu splitting the heavens and earth! Struggling to survive in the primordial world, he grasped a sword technique in the aftermath of creation, one that could cleave chaos and sever the ages. He forged a nameless sword with his own hands, but in awe of its power, sealed it atop Mount Tai. From then on, he became a traveler through time and a witness to civilization. He shaped humanity with Nuwa and tasted herbs with Shennong. He taught Li Bai the sword dance and discussed blades with Hua Tuo. He wandered through five thousand years of history, taking disciples and passing on his arts, all the while abiding by his creed: “I will not change the fate of the world.” But when the flames of the War of Resistance against Japan erupted, he saw the enemy sacrifice blood to summon a demon god, and at last broke his vow. At the words “Sword, come!” Mount Tai shook, and a swordbeam descended like divine punishment, severing the demonic source and rewriting the course of history. After the war, he went into hiding in the city and became an ordinary accountant at a Chinese medicine shop, savoring the simple life he had lost and regained. Until spiritual qi revival, when myths returned. The gods and demons of other nations encircled China, while only Huaxia had its divine throne vacant! When the Eight-Headed Serpent, corrupted by demonic energy, came surging across the sea once more, and foreign gods cast covetous eyes upon the land... Just as everyone fell into despair, the young man who had been quietly dispensing medicine in the shop finally set down his weighing scale. He walked to the window, gazed at the demonic shadows filling the sky, and spoke softly: “ Sword, come!” The hook in one sentence: He has lived from antiquity to the present, witnessed Pangu create the world, and even taught your ancestors a thing or two. Now he only wants to live quietly as an accountant. But alas, the nation’s fortunes still depend on him to hold the line.
