My Fair Princess: Yao Le and Ertai's Sweet Adventures

The Story of Yaole in My Fair Princess

Synopsis

The Forbidden City’s most “troublesome” princess, Yaole, is the only daughter of Qianlong’s younger sister. Spoiled by the Empress Dowager, she dares to poke fun at Xiao Yanzi’s mangled idioms and tease Erkang about his “passionate speeches.” Then she meets Fu Ertai, a man who’s an expert at doting on his wife.

From mistaking someone for her savior during a chaotic hunting-ground mishap, to joining forces with Ertai to help Consort Xiang “stir things up” amid palace intrigue, to ruining the porridge on the run while he swoops in to save the day, Yaole’s life in the palace is always made easier by Ertai. Other couples make grand vows of eternal love. These two are all about pranks and pampering: she swaps his fake-death medicine for a laxative, and he just smiles and makes a new batch; she embroiders a crooked purse, and he wears it every day; on their wedding night, when the bridal chamber gets rowdy, he pops a sweet into her mouth first.

A faithful recreation of the classic scenes from My Fair Princess, with no heartbreak and plenty of laughs. Watch as the clever but timid Yaole is doted on by the gentle, protective Ertai until she becomes the palace’s sweetest “comic couple.”
