The Embroidered Uniform Guard's Midnight Mystery

During the Hongwu era, the capital is rife with intrigue. Lu Yuan, Commander of the Imperial Guard, holds immense power at court, yet finds himself swept into an endless whirlpool of conspiracies.

One day, just as Lu Yuan steps into the Imperial Guard’s Northern Headquarters, a subordinate rushes over with a report. “Commander, the Ministry of Rites Vice Minister’s residence was burgled last night. The stolen item was a confidential memorial concerning national tax reform.” Lu Yuan’s brows knit. He knows this is no small matter. Vice Minister Wu Chang is a pillar of the court, and tax reform could affect the entire nation. If the confidential memorial falls into the wrong hands, chaos may ensue.
