Strange Tales of Yin Village

Deep in the loess country of Shaanxi lies a small village called Huaishu’ao. Here, the loess plateau rolls on for miles, and cave dwellings dot the landscape. Yet at some point, an eerie shadow began to creep over the place.

Zhang Ling, an investigator of yin-yang mysteries and the supernatural, had heard all kinds of strange rumors about Huaishu’ao. With a battered peachwood sword and a bagua compass on his back, he set out for this mysterious land. As soon as he reached the village entrance, an ancient locust tree caught his eye. Its trunk twisted, its branches clawed at the air, as if telling a story no one was meant to know.
