At eighteen, jungle prodigy Ling Che swept the esports scene under the name “Zero,” but retired for two years after his mother passed away. Now he has returned as a handsome streamer, deliberately pretending to be bad to hide his skills. All he wants is to stream in peace and make money, far from the shadows of his past. Then, during an ordinary ranked match, he runs into Wen Xuyan, the esports scene’s “Mid Lane Demon King.”
Wen Xuyan, captain of the TOG team, is calculating and domineering. He sees right through Ling Che’s act at a glance. That savage control of the jungle and precise sense of timing can only belong to the boy who dazzled everyone back then. With one careful move after another, he lures the proud, unruly Ling Che into TOG, personally tearing away his cold exterior to reveal the proud, soft-hearted cat beneath.
“Join the team, or never set foot in the professional arena again?” Wen Xuyan’s threat carries a possessiveness that allows no refusal.
Ling Che bristles. “Wen Xuyan, don’t push it!” Yet when Wen Xuyan shields him onstage, Ling Che’s heart skips a beat.
Attacks from haters, the interference of his wealthy father, the return of old shadows, and the fierce challenge of top teams like FIRE and ICE all become trials the two face together. When Ling Che returns to the arena under the name “Wild,” the jungle king’s brilliance cuts through his disguise, and his teamwork with the mid-lane demon is flawless. Only then does the entire league realize that the legendary “Zero” never left.
“The jungle is my territory. So are you,” Wen Xuyan whispers in his ear.
Ling Che glares at him, eyes red, but as he turns away, he quietly takes Wen Xuyan’s hand.
