Back to 1978: You Mistook a Bentley for a Tractor?

[Tycoon dad + kids + period setting + infrastructure + heartwarming comedy]

I’m Lin Wenxuan, a business mogul, and one day I transmigrate back to the 1970s with my troublesome son.

The homecoming trip I imagined: warm and peaceful, with a loving father and an obedient son.

The homecoming trip in reality: my son stares at a phone with no signal, while I fret over a room full of poor relatives looking at me like they’ve spotted a feast.

Son: “Dad, I want to go home. This dump doesn’t even have Coke!”

Me: “Don’t worry. I’ll build you a Coke factory.”

Son: “Dad, this road is so bumpy my butt’s going to split open!”

Me: “Relax. I’ll build you a highway.”

And just like that, while granting my rebellious son’s every ridiculous wish, I turned a backwater into the center of the world!
