You Said We Were Mortal Enemies, So Why Are You Falling for Me in Secret?

[One-on-One + Both Pure + Enemies-to-Lovers + Proud, Easily Ruffled Tsundere x Flirtatious Top Student + Happy Ending] The thing Xu Yan regrets most in his life is helping his childhood friend pursue Lu Zhixu. He opened with a cheesy pickup line and got a sincere suggestion in return: “Your friend... does he need to see a neurologist?” That was the start of their feud. Xu Yan unilaterally declared Lu Zhixu his lifelong nemesis! But fate had other plans. A competition notice forced these “rivals” to become teammates. During countless late nights spent solving problems together against their will, Xu Yan began to realize that Lu Zhixu might actually be a pretty decent guy. Xu Yan was starting to think that getting along with Lu Chengzhou as both rivals and friends might not be so bad, and was certainly much better than being enemies. He was rather pleased with the thought, until the other guy suddenly said, with unusual seriousness: “Xu Yan, I won’t let anyone else have you.” “???” Xu Yan’s brain short-circuited on the spot. Hold on! Are you even thinking straight, buddy? He stumbled backward in a panic. “Wait! Give me a second to collect myself!” Lu Zhixu, who had been radiating confidence just moments ago, immediately looked crestfallen. He looked like a big dog caught in the rain, and even his voice carried a hint of hurt. “...You don’t like me?” Watching the guy suddenly turn into a “wounded puppy,” Xu Yan was completely dumbfounded. Come on, man! What made you think I liked you?! Aren’t we just good buddies?! Was this mutual pining, or had he just been imagining things... Wait, had the other guy been imagining things? Xu Yan says: Thanks for asking. I’m in high school, and I just got confessed to. This is harder than the final physics problem!
