[Reborn + political intrigue + strong heroine + equally matched leads + obsessive madman] [Please read the first three chapters (ㄒoㄒ)]
Reborn at fifteen, Shen Zhao has only one thought:
Find the weapon of war who was trained like a mad dog, and raise him to be her sharpest blade.
When she finds him,
the boy is covered in wounds, chained up, his eyes full of murderous rage.
Shen Zhao offers him half a bun and says softly, “Come with me.”
Later, he really does become the most obedient dog in the capital.
Point him at someone, and he attacks. Tell him to bite, and he bites.
The whole capital fears him. Shen Zhao is the only one who doesn’t,
because whenever she frowns, the mad dog retreats to her feet, eyes reddened.
Shen Zhao thinks she’s raised a good dog.
Until this “mad dog” corners her against a wall:
“You said I belonged to you. Now you’re going to leave me behind?”
Shen Zhao: “...Then what do you want?”
He smiles, his gaze obsessive and crazed:
“I want you to take responsibility for me to the very end.”
Later, the court falls, and the Third Prince is executed.
The mad dog, wearing imperial robes, kneels before her and carefully presents the half of a dried bun he’s kept hidden for years:
“Shen Zhao, from the very first day you took me in, I’ve been preparing for this wedding.”
Later, everyone in the capital knows that the murderous mad emperor is completely henpecked.
A guide to taming:
[You don’t tame a wolf by beating it into submission. You make it lower its head willingly.]
