Starting in Dadiwan

Geologist Li Yan falls into a fissure and wakes up in a river valley in Longyuan, eight thousand years in the past. The tribes here are on the brink of extinction, living off raw meat and blood, and even a single wild fruit can be deadly. He makes fire by drilling wood and is revered as the Fire-Bringer, but the shamans view him with hostility. When he plants the first handful of foxtail millet, neighboring tribes begin to covet his land. As they come roaring toward him with stone axes, Li Yan raises a bronze spear, with ranks of warriors arrayed behind him like a forest. From the Wei River Basin to the banks of the Yangtze, the Flame Emperor of Banquan and Chiyou of the Nine Li will all bow to the fire of civilization he kindles with his own hands. This is the most authentic epic of creation: no System or magic, only a path to Chinese civilization paved with wisdom, blood, and conviction.
