A Desolate Journey

It is the fourth year since nuclear war destroyed civilization. The bitter cold of the “Little Ice Age” is gradually fading, revealing the wasteland’s sinister face. Survivor Lei Yi and his companions establish a stronghold called “Cape of Hope” in a dilapidated air-raid shelter, struggling to survive among mutated creatures, extreme weather, and ruthless raiders. By chance, they discover a remnant of the prewar genetic engineering “Abundance Project”: a serum called “Dawn.” Lei Yi and his companions gain superhuman abilities, but also attract the attention of Noah Life, the company behind the project. Meanwhile, the stronghold faces multiple threats, including food shortages, an energy crisis, internal disease, and outside forces such as the Butcher and the Bloodfang Gang. From defending their home to taking the fight to their enemies, from repairing a warship to voyaging across the seas, Lei Yi and his team grow stronger with every step. They venture into dangerous overseas laboratories to obtain vital technology and serum. They unite scientists, improve the technology, mass-produce the Dawn serum, and build a formidable force of enhanced fighters. They also uncover clues in prewar records to the Eden Project, a plan tied to humanity’s ultimate fate. But power comes at a price, and hope always coexists with danger. Horrifying monsters created by the Abundance Project’s out-of-control experiments, the M Nation military’s covetous pursuit of the company’s legacy, and a vast conspiracy hidden beneath the dust of history all prove that the struggle for survival is far from over.
