He Returned from Northern Myanmar

[Synopsis]

Zhang Chengye, the young warlord of northern Myanmar, has a revolver engraved with the character “Zhong.” He has just inherited a trillion-yuan fortune in Cambodia and is about to head to Africa to find his father when his own mother and maternal cousin stage a coup against him. Now wanted around the world, his passport revoked, he is even thrown out of a cheap hotel that costs only thirty yuan a night.

With nowhere else to go, he hides out in Nanla County on the southern Yunnan border. He has just squatted outside a Shaxian snack shop to chew on cold steamed dumplings when a young woman with a dyed iron-shaped fringe and shiny leather loafers corners him against a wall. “Hey, with that dark cloud over your brow, you look like you just ran away from northern Myanmar. Call me Babe, and I’ll treat you to a bowl of spicy oil noodles.”

Once a fearsome man called “Young Marshal” by thousands, he grits his teeth and calls her “Sister Huang” just to get a roof over his head.

He rents a tiny ten-square-meter room, sleeps on a cartoon sofa, and lives on instant noodles with two extra eggs. He casually crushes the wrist of a thug who comes looking for trouble, and before long he becomes the pampered little brother of the young women’s circle. His daily antics flirting with one girl after another turn the border town upside down.

No one knows that this cold-faced man, who spends his days practicing hand dances with the girls, carries intelligence capable of upending Southeast Asia in his pocket, half a pale chocolate bar from his foolish little brother against his chest, and a plan in his heart to chop off the head of his usurping uncle and drag his play-dead father out of Africa to demand answers.

[PS: Early on, a fallen warlord sticks close to a spirited young woman; in the middle, he sets the county in order while scheming behind the scenes; later, he returns with beauties at his side, punching Annamese Colonel Nguyen and kicking Cambodian Su Jida. High-octane action from beginning to end, with no dull moments!]
