Slam Dunk? I’m Shintaro Midorima

On the first day Midorima Shintaro takes over his body, the System issues a beginner mission: Shohoku must qualify for the prefectural tournament. Looking at the team of troublemakers before him, he adjusts his reflective glasses. “A bunch of ordinary people think they’re fit to be my teammates?” Mitsui Hisashi: “Did that new guy say he has to read the stars before training every day?” Rukawa Kaede: “He says my horoscope says today’s a bad day to shoot.” Sakuragi Hanamichi explodes: “Why is this con artist starting ahead of me!” With the prefectural tournament on the line, Midorima’s template activates, and his long-range three-pointer swishes through the net. In the deathly silence, he adjusts his glasses. “Do your best and leave the rest to fate, but my fate is to win.”
