Warrior Soul of the Flame Song: From Researcher to God of War Against the Jin

During the Jianyan era of the Southern Song (early in Zhao Gou’s flight south), the Jin had occupied the Central Plains. Wanyan Wushu led the “Iron Pagoda” and “Winged Cavalry” south in pursuit, leaving the people of the Jianghuai region displaced and destitute. Yue Fei was then serving as deputy commander of the right army under the Jianghuai Pacification Office, with fewer than ten thousand troops. He had to fight the Jin forces while also contending with the peace faction at court, which constrained his efforts. His dire circumstances provide the perfect stage for the protagonist to “aid Marshal Yue with technology and earn renown through military victories.”
