The Sleeper’s Eye of Ailao Mountain

A 26-member research team of scholars and explorers ventures deep into the pristine wilderness of Ailao Mountain in Yunnan, hoping to uncover its unknown geological and ecological mysteries. But from the moment they enter the mountains, everything they know is turned upside down. Compasses spin wildly, all electronic devices fail, and the forest fills with a sickly-sweet stench of decay. First comes the “Ghost Camera”: team members die in baffling circumstances, and their cameras capture hundreds of identical photos of bizarre trees that do not exist in reality. Then comes the “Sound Eater”: over the radio, they hear the horrifying sound of a teammate being chewed alive.
