His Obsession: The Top Student Who Fell from Grace

Synopsis

[Cool, aloof top student × spirited childhood friend | Secret school crush ➡️ the second male lead wins | Sweet romance, no unexpected contrast]

Everyone says Gu Yanshen is cool, noble, and above it all.

He lives by the rules, always buttons his uniform neatly to the very top, and is the impeccable top student in his year.

Yet he has one spirited childhood friend who has clung to him for ten years: Su Wanwan.

She follows close behind him, overflowing with love. "Gu Yanshen, did you see my love letter in your textbook?"

"Gu Yanshen, will you make your birthday wish to date me?"

He only lowers his eyes to turn a page, his voice as cool as snow. "Su Wanwan, enough."

Then one night, in the pouring rain, she sees him patiently tutoring a younger female transfer student and sharing an umbrella with her.

All her warmth goes out in that instant.

She hands him back her rain-soaked notes, her voice calm. "Gu Yanshen, I won't bother you anymore."

Later, the bold and carefree transfer student Xie Yuye stops her by the stairwell.

The boy lazily twirls a strand of her hair around his finger, grinning with dazzling arrogance. "Little miss, open your eyes and pick someone else, okay?"

"Me, for example. I'm easier to pursue than him, and I know how to treat you right."

Later still, at the school gala.

In a secluded corner of the terrace, the top student, always so proper and composed, loses control and pins Su Wanwan against the wall.

The fingers he usually holds a pen with tremble slightly. His eyes brim with an obsession and undercurrent she's never seen before. "Wanwan... teach me."

"How do you keep going without ever stopping?"

The light he pushed away with his own hands became a nightmare that could never brighten his lonely world.

The aloof beauty falls from his pedestal, while the wild dog wins the whole world.
