The story begins when Lin Mo, a programmer from Earth, is forcibly transported to Noah, a world with a rigid class hierarchy. Due to his unusual affinity for the world's underlying "Primordial Code," which manifests as a "red reaction," the System labels him a "sinner." While on the run, he meets Saphira, leader of the resistance group "Undercurrent," and Ezra, a technical expert. Together, they gradually uncover the truth about Noah: it was originally a utopia created by multidimensional scientists, including Lin Mo's ancestor, the "Pioneer," but usurpers have corrupted it into a system of oppression. Lin Mo awakens his abilities and eventually resets the System, dismantling the class hierarchy. But the lingering consciousness of the Pioneer warns him that a true dimensional threat, the "Assimilators," is on its way.
After the System is reset, Noah and Earth establish a "Bridge," creating the "New District," where multiple civilizations coexist, and the "Alliance of Convergence." But the ancient threat known as the "Assimilators," which seeks to consume the diversity of civilizations and reduce all things to "ultimate silence," is drawn to the vitality of the new world. Lin Mo leads the "Pioneer" squad into the dimensional abyss, where they find the Pioneers' repository of knowledge, the "Tree of All Knowledge," and clues to the resistance: the "Watchers." In the final battle, Lin Mo sacrifices himself and deals a grievous blow to the Assimilators' active consciousness. Yet their vast logical essence remains, transformed into an inert expanse that exerts the pull of "silence," the [Sea of Hope]. The threat now lies dormant in another form.
