Veteran HR business partner Lin Che possesses the “Karmic Vision,” which lets him see the black mists that swirl around people when they commit evil. The deeper their malice, the thicker the mist. Assigned to Tianhao Group, he faces the “Ten Evil Deeds” plaguing the workplace. Using his HR expertise to resolve conflicts, he discovers that every problem traces back to the group’s founder, Wu Tianhao.
On the surface, Wu is a business legend. In reality, he embodies all ten evil deeds. Black mist streaked with blood swirls around him as he condones and even encourages workplace misconduct. Told in episodic installments that weave together two storylines, the main plot follows Lin Che as he manages disputes, scoring small victories and making compromises, while the underlying story shows him quietly gathering hard evidence of Wu Tianhao’s crimes. When Wu’s greed brings the company to its knees, Lin Che submits the evidence and finally sends him to prison. As the black mist dissipates, Lin Che witnesses that “the scales of karma never tip unfairly” and finds a new purpose in protecting integrity in the workplace, bringing a glimmer of light to its twisted “professional battlefield.”
