[Redemption + Rampage + Dark + Void + No Romance + Not a Power Fantasy + Lovecraftian]
“When light becomes a disease, darkness may be the only cure.”
Hollow Elegy
At the end of a howling cliff, the faint glow of fireflies lights the way. The solitary traveler will eventually reach Dirtmouth, perched above the ruins, the last surviving trace of the once-glorious kingdom of Hallownest. Belowground, a kingdom consumed by a plague of dreams awaits awakening, or eternal oblivion.
Hallownest was once ruled by the Pale King, Wyrm, who granted wisdom to the insects and built a brilliant civilization. Yet a light in the darkness was never extinguished: the ancient god known as the Radiance rose again from the dream, infecting minds with a plague and turning the prosperous kingdom into a prison of madness and infection. To fight the plague of light, Wyrm forged hollow vessels. But an unexpected stir of emotion caused the seal to break at last.
Now one of the abandoned vessels, the Knight, has returned from the Abyss to walk through the silent ruins. Between Greenpath, the City of Tears, the Deepnest, and the Crystal Peaks, it will uncover the knights' elegies, the Dreamers' long slumber, and the tribes' betrayals and steadfast loyalty. At the end of the road, it will face not only the Radiance, source of the infection, but a choice that concerns the very nature of existence: become a new seal, or lead the Void to consume the light?
This is a story of destruction and memory, light and darkness, sacrifice and freedom. In a kingdom ravaged by plague, the silent little Knight will bear the weight of an entire civilization. The final answer lies in a darkness deeper than dreams.
[Thinking] It's not bad. I didn't completely follow the plot of the game. I added some things to it. Overall, it's a pretty good Hollow Knight novel. Why has no one commented on it?
It can be seen that although the author has added a lot of his own opinions, overall, this book is passable, but I don't know why no one has read it.
This is simply a good book that is true and objective, has multi-dimensional description, clear structure and substantial content [Blowing Kiss]
