Iron-Boned at the End of the Jin Dynasty: From a Mountain of Corpses to the Throne

Chen Wu, a modern special-forces combat instructor, unexpectedly transmigrates to the final years of the Western Jin dynasty, becoming a lowly military household member outside Luoyang who has been framed and left to die. From surviving in a ruined temple and exposing a conspiracy onward, he fights for his life amid mountains of corpses, relying on military knowledge, combat skills, and insight far beyond his time. He gathers refugees and trains a new army, earning their loyalty through one bloody battle after another and rising from the lowest ranks. During the upheaval in Luoyang, he turns the tide and exposes a powerful minister’s treasonous collusion with the enemy. When the nobility and court move south, he uses a clever ruse to protect tens of thousands of refugees on their journey to Jiangdong.

In the south, he contends with the great clans, quells rebellions, expands agricultural settlements, and builds a navy, steadily laying the foundations of his rule. At last, he raises the banner of the Northern Expedition and unites the hearts of the people of Huaxia. He puts an end to the great clans’ internal abuses and defeats the formidable Xiongnu beyond the borders. From a landscape of blood and corpses, he establishes a new dynasty called Sui, determined to usher in a peaceful, prosperous age of genuine dignity and hope for this battered land and its people.
