The Model Family

[No CP + Character Growth + Some Ensemble Cast + A Heavily Modified Infinite-Flow] (Thanks to my friend ALbarino for making the cover!)

Hei Ya, who had always cherished her life, was talked into drinking two glasses of alcohol by her no-good friends on her coming-of-age day, under the pretext of finding out how much she could hold. That very night, she accidentally fell into a well. When she woke up, she had somehow gone from being an orphan to being part of a family of four with both parents and even a younger brother?

And where exactly is this place? Why are there so many bizarre things around? Compared to my headless dad and my terrifying clown of a little brother, is Mom, whose heels never touch the ground, actually the most normal one?

Turns out they’d landed in a shady city hiding behind the banner of the “Household Responsibility System,” where they planned to exploit wayward teenage boys and girls like them to open up this cramped little space.

Who cares what used to live in those places?

I can never find the tags I want, so I just picked whatever. It’s probably a mix of the protagonist breezing through dungeons, family sitcom antics, and a little overarching plot.

(Second edit) I originally wrote this as a story set in the past of another novel with the same worldbuilding. Since I already knew how things would turn out, I took it for granted that the protagonist would naturally find a way forward. It wasn’t until I actually started writing the story that I began to think about what that way forward might be.

The protagonist is a child who grew up in an abnormal environment. She has a fixed goal, but lacks the ability to learn what she needs to achieve it. She can’t understand the meaning of her life through reading or ordinary methods of keeping records. She simply clings rigidly to her own principles. So what meaning can these things give her? She should find those answers in the story, and so should everyone else.
