Mei Changsu: The Record of Nirvana

In the sixth year of the Yuan You era under the Great Liang dynasty, war fires flare once more along the northern frontier. The mighty Da Yu joins forces with Ye Qin and Northern Yan to invade, leaving the Changlin Army in mortal danger. At the same time, an annotated copy of the mysterious Records of the Land quietly arrives at Langya Pavilion. The handwriting is unmistakably identical to that of Mei Changsu, the late leader of the Jiangzuo Alliance...

In the Su residence outside Jinling, a small clay stove glows with a flame no larger than a bean. A slender figure in a moon-white scholar's robe is playing chess with the current emperor, Xiao Jingyan. He looks up with a faint smile. His face is still pale, but his eyes are free of gloom, filled instead with clarity and resolve born of seeing through the world. “Jingyan, this time, I seek neither power nor the clearing of an old injustice. I only want to stand with you and protect this land of peace and prosperity for its people.”

Meanwhile, an organization called “Spark” rises rapidly in the martial world, dedicated to executing great criminals beyond the reach of the law. Beyond the border, the mysterious “Qilin Genius” becomes the nightmare of enemy commanders. Mei Changsu returns to the world in three identities, his paths intertwined with Xiao Jingyan's imperial court, Meng Zhi's iron cavalry on the battlefield, and Feiliu's chivalrous presence in the martial world, as they compose a Great Liang epic of loyalty and homeland, legacy and renewal.
