Notes of a Strange Tale Scribe

My name is Shen Qingci, and I'm a ghost-talker who makes a living catching ghosts. It sounds mysterious, but all I do is help spirits fulfill their last wishes and send them on their way. Then one day, I received a strange commission: go to the abandoned Qingshan Hospital and fulfill the wish of a doctor who died thirty years ago.

The lights in the hospital corridor flickered on and off. A male ghost in a white coat stood in the shadows and smiled faintly at me.

"Miss Shen, I've been waiting for you for a long time."

I should have turned and run, but then he told me something that sent a chill down my spine:

"You should have died three years ago. Who extended your life?"

To make matters worse, I began dreaming frequently of a woman in a blood-red bridal gown. She kept repeating, "The time has come. It's time to pay it back."

And every time I woke up, another faint bloodstain had appeared on my wrist.
