The Honghuang Human Era: Rekindling the Flame

In the primordial universe, the Heavenly Dao had only just been established. Pangu split open the heavens and transformed his body into all things, but Hongjun suppressed the vital energy that could give rise to humanity with the Jade Disc of Creation. From then on, the human race's destiny was stolen and kept in captivity, reduced to a pawn coveted by the Sages. Nuwa created humanity, but her merit was seized, leaving her no choice but to conceal three wisps of true spirit in the yellow earth. Dijiang, ancestral shaman of space, sacrificed himself to enter the underground palace beneath Mount Buzhou. At the cost of his own spatial laws, he infused it with a protective divine thought and forged the human race's supreme treasure, the Kongtong Seal. Yet the Heavenly Dao was merciless: the seal was eventually shattered during the War Between the Liches, and its nine fragments scattered through the river of time. Human civilization fell into a slumber that lasted for ages.

Five thousand years passed, but the sparks of protection and resistance never went out. King Zhou of Yin Shang defied Heaven and burned himself alive, etching a coded message into oracle bones with his blood. Qin Shi Huang, Ying Zheng, burned books and buried scholars alive, but in truth he was protecting the ancient texts of the primordial world. The Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors stood alone in Fire Cloud Cave, guarding the river of humanity, their souls grievously damaged... Countless sages passed the fragments' secrets and mission into their bloodlines and inscribed them into civilization.

Today, spiritual qi revival sweeps the globe, and myth returns to the cities. Xiao Yanci, a young man working with the Yinxu archaeological team, finds the bloodline of his family, the Seal Guardians since the Shang and Zhou dynasties, suddenly awakening within him. By chance, he touches a mysterious bronze fragment. From then on, he can sense disturbances in the earth's veins and cultivate his family's long-lost Human Emperor Body-Refining Art. Meanwhile, ancient ferocious beasts roar through the streets, the Chaos Cult stirs in secret, and the mysterious Tianshu Group commands a vast force combining technology from the primordial world.

Under the guidance of Su Qingyan, an expert with the state-backed Special Investigations Bureau, Xiao Yanci learns that he is the key to breaking the deadlock. He must race against time, venturing deep into the snowy Kunlun wilderness and the abyss beneath the sea to find all the scattered fragments of the Kongtong Seal...
