When chaos first parted, the pure and the turbid began to take shape. The primordial world lay between heaven and earth like an uncarved jade. The peaks of Western Kunlun glimmered with the radiance of primordial jade, the ice fields of the Northern Sea trapped an age-old chill beneath their frozen surface, the spiritual ley lines of the Eastern Sea flowed beneath its blue waves like a river of stars, and lava burned within the Undying Volcano with the heat of primordial fire. This world held the vast, pure energy left behind by the creation of heaven and earth, but also harbored the lingering demonic shadows of Luo Hou’s corruption of the Dao. The three clans, Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin, occupied the four seas, the nine heavens, and the earth, each guarding the foundations of its own spiritual ley lines. Yet beneath the surface, their fierce struggles over resources were already brewing, while they remained oblivious to the demonic miasma quietly spreading through the depths of the earth.
It was in this primordial world that a wisp of spirit awoke in the depths of the Sea of Blood. He had no name. At first, he was nothing more than a hazy, pale-green shadow, with half a fragment bearing the mark of the creation axe embedded in his chest. It was a remnant of Pangu’s origin, left behind when he created the world, and his deepest bond with this realm. Later, he named himself Chen, meaning “the first dawn of heaven and earth,” as if seeking a path to survival in this still-unformed world.
His journey began in the frigid depths of the Sea of Blood. To escape the erosion of baleful energy, he drifted toward Kunlun, washing away the impurities in his spirit within the gentle aura of its jade mines. Seeking a chance at life, he braved the ice fields of the Northern Sea, where primordial frost and the pure spiritual energy of ice shrimp gradually gave his soul a distinct shape. Later, he reached the Eastern Sea, witnessed the lightning of the Dragon Palace, and glimpsed the currents of its spiritual ley lines. He used water movement techniques to evade the Dragon Clan’s patrols, and for the first time, he brushed against the limits of power. The primordial world was vast, its ranks of strong cultivators endless, and his meager cultivation was no more than a drop in the ocean.
