Chaos erupted with the gunshot. Screams and jostling swept him up, and before he could even see where the bullet had come from, his consciousness plunged heavily into darkness.
“Welcome back, Host. I am the exclusive System bound to you.”
“Please choose a dungeon, Host. The System will match you with the best person to possess, helping you get closer to the key characters. To prevent OOC behavior, your memories will be sealed temporarily while you are in the dungeon.”
And so, you arrived at the first turning point in your life: Class 1, Grade 11, at No. 3 High School in Jin City, aged seventeen. This was the year you would meet your first key character.
No one could have guessed that the near-invisible, depressed boy in your class back then would become part of the chain of events that got you shot at thirty-five.
“The class monitor must be terribly busy, so it’s only natural that you have trouble seeing. If you really can’t make things out, I suggest asking the teacher to replace you sooner rather than later, so you don’t hold everyone up.”
“Oh? So there’s someone like you in our class after all… A sharp-tongued one, Qing Yu’an.”
And so, the amnesiac Mu Wen got off on the wrong foot with the key character as soon as they met…
