The Crown Prince of Yan, a Hidden Dragon in the Abyss

Story Synopsis: Yan Xuanche, crown prince of Great Yan, is frail and sickly, with a passion for literature and music. Everyone at court considers him a useless heir. His younger brother, the second prince Yan Zhaohong, has earned great military honors, harbors grand ambitions, and has built a faction of his own. He has long coveted the Eastern Palace. With the old emperor gravely ill and the court in turmoil, everyone believes the crown prince is about to be replaced. No one knows what kind of world-shaking dragon lies dormant beneath the sickly prince’s facade. When the executioner’s blade hangs over his neck, Yan Xuanche drops the act. In the depths of desperation, he makes his moves, turning heaven and earth into a chessboard and dragging everyone who looked down on him or sought to destroy him into the abyss he has laid with his own hands.
