Leave Some Space! Keep It All to Myself

[Timid and gentle: Xu Mo] [Cool and attentive: Shen Tingxu] Xu Mo’s first impression of Shen Tingxu: cool, brilliant, and utterly out of reach. In the architecture department, Shen Tingxu is a legend. His technical skills are exceptional, and his models and blueprints are as precise as machinery. He himself is like a modernist building, all hard lines and a forbidding air. Xu Mo is just as talented, but her work has a more human warmth. Her designs always have the “lived-in charm” missing from his blueprints. No one expected Shen Tingxu, who never took part in group activities, to step onto the stage. Beneath the spotlight, his cool gaze passed over the crowd and fixed firmly on Xu Mo in the audience. “This song,” he said into the microphone, his voice low and clear, “is for Xu Mo.”
