Uncle Nine: The System Gave Me an AK to Slay Jiangshi

Lin Feng, an overworked office drone who stayed up all night rushing a proposal, opened his eyes to find a burial shroud choking him and the stench of a corpse filling his nose. Old Master Ren, a black-hardened zombie, was lunging at him with claws raised, and Lin Feng was the weakest new disciple at the mortuary!

[Ding! Zombie-Slaying System bound! Starter gift: an AK-47 loaded with silver bullets, perfect for low-level zombies!]

In a desperate moment, he fired wildly and blew the zombie’s head off. But when Chen Jiu arrived, he grabbed Lin Feng by the ear and scolded him: “Black-hardened zombies attack the joints! Your Western gun is less useful than a peachwood sword!”

And so Lin Feng began his cheat-fueled life of “fighting zombies with technology”:

Against white-haired zombies, he used ultraviolet lamps to expose their true forms, grumbling, “This thing is even more afraid of light than my boss.”

Against bronze-armored corpses, he bound them with an electromagnetic net while Chen Jiu added talismans and laughed, “At least you didn’t waste the inked string.”

To track flying zombies, he used drones to lock on to their position. Even Daoist Four-Eyed came to borrow his corpse-energy power bank.

But strange things kept happening. The storybooks eaten by the paper-eating ghost hid the secret signals of the Yinluo Cult, a corpse-refining parasite was buried inside the bronze-armored corpse, and even the System issued a warning: “Golden-armored zombie approaching”?

Chen Jiu stroked his beard and said gravely, “A naturally evolved flying zombie is nothing to fear. What’s frightening is a golden-armored zombie refined by the Yinluo Cult.”

Lin Feng hefted the electromagnetic cannon he had just redeemed and grinned. “Don’t worry, Master. AKs for black-hardened zombies, missiles for flying zombies, and for the Zombie King… we’ll combine our Daoist weapons and build a cannon!”

From slaying black-hardened zombies at the mortuary, to battling bronze-armored corpses in western Hunan, to challenging the Zombie King on Mount Kunlun, master and disciple climbed the zombie ranks together. But Lin Feng gradually realized that this “chosen zombie slayer” had long since been marked by the Yinluo Cult as a “living sacrifice” to feed the Zombie King!
