Moon in a Cage

Su Yan thought she would spend her whole life trapped in a damp attic studio, until a man named Lu Zhuo barged into her life like a storm. A powerful business tycoon who could make the market rise and fall with a flick of his hand, he hid an unquestionable forcefulness beneath his cold, stern features. With just one sentence, “From today on, you belong to me,” he turned her world upside down.

She fought desperately, but he locked her in a gilded cage, cutting off every connection she had with the outside world and erasing all traces of her existence. When she tried to escape, he even warned her with an almost obsessive tenderness: “Don’t make a fuss. You’ll only be safe by my side.”

But moonlight always finds its way through the bars, illuminating the vulnerability he occasionally lets slip and revealing the dependence growing in her heart, a dependence that frightens even her. When the shadows of the past come sweeping in, he protects her like a rock, yet imprisons her like a shackle. Is this captivity in the name of love a salvation, or an even deeper abyss?
