The Path of the Profound: From Underworld Runner to Judge of the Three Realms

Shen Yan was born in a yin year, yin month, and yin day. Since childhood, he has been able to see the “things” invisible to everyone else, and people regard him as an ill omen. When he was eighteen, a bronze plaque covered in ghostly markings was unearthed at his family’s old home. Overnight, he was dragged into the rift between yin and yang, where evil spirits came for his life and vengeful ghosts clung to his soul. Even the old ghost in the City God Temple warned him, “Kid, with a birth chart like yours, you were born to be chewed up by ghosts.”

But Shen Yan refuses to believe in fate. The bronze plaque turns out to be the long-lost “Judge’s Command,” which can summon underworld officials and subdue evil spirits. It also conceals The Nine Chapters of the Mystic Path, a cultivation manual lost for centuries. To protect those around him, he grips the Judge’s Command and begins by subduing a ghost that has stolen a second life. He ventures into the ghost market, explores the underworld, and battles vengeful spirits, gradually uncovering the truth behind their rampage through the human world: the balance of the Three Realms has been disrupted because someone is raising the “Mother of Ten Thousand Ghosts” deep in the netherworld, intending to use the human world as a furnace to forge an undying, evil body.
