Su Mian is bound to the most shameless System in history, the [Disaster System], and faces an ultimate threat from the start: either livestream ghost-hunting in an abandoned public restroom, or experience the “vanishing bird trick”!
To preserve his masculine dignity, Su Mian, whose legs turn to jelly at the sight of ghosts, is forced to get to work.
While other paranormal livestreamers scream in terror, he gets the murderous ghost in the haunted house to perform the dance challenge “Subject Three.” While others are chased all over the place by zombies, he organizes a street-dance competition for Uncle Zombie.
Somehow, he even recruits ghost-world superstars like Kayako and Chu Renmei, forming the “Hundred-Ghost Supergroup.” From a penniless young man drowning in debt, he makes an underdog comeback as a ridiculous boss with a hundred ghosts on his payroll.
He thought bringing his girlfriend back to life was finally within reach, but who knew he would attract the attention of the actual Underworld!
King Yama, his hair turning white with worry, says, “Brother Su, everyone in the human world thinks we’re terrifying. Our offerings are drying up. Please help the Underworld make its debut too!”
And so, the whole genre takes a sudden turn! Su Mian drops into a vast fantasy world, teaches Ox-Head and Horse-Face to perform crosstalk, gets Black and White Impermanence to put on comedy sketches, and organizes a concert for the female ghosts of the River of Forgetfulness... Thus begins an entertainment revolution sweeping across the Three Realms!
A Buddhist sage glares furiously: “This man is making all beings lose themselves in pleasure and threatening the foundations of my faith. He must be eliminated!”
Su Mian: “I just wanted to come up with a few jokes. How did I become the Three Realms’ top-tier star?”
