She’s Back, and Her Blind Sister Is Smiling

[Republican era, fake heiress, espionage in a mansion, love and hatred, mutual salvation, rekindled romance, childhood friends, two formidable leads, both virgins, three-year age gap]

[Stoic, deeply devoted, scheming, tsundere, tough-on-the-outside-soft-on-the-inside older woman vs. gloomy, vicious, deranged, lovesick, soft-on-the-outside-dark-on-the-inside little white lotus]

P.S. Don’t read if this isn’t your thing. Everything serves the plot, so don’t take it too seriously. Any resemblance is purely coincidental.

A new story. No real people are involved. The setting is partly true and partly fictional, so please don’t read it as a real account.

One-line summary: She thought she’d raised a little white rabbit, but it turned out to be a man-eating flower! And yet... she can’t get enough!

*

Huo Ran, the top female enforcer in the Intelligence Bureau, has a precious darling whom she cherishes above all else.

Her darling, Song Jiayu, is frail and weak, blind in both eyes, and can’t even open a bottle. Everyone in Shanghai calls her a beautiful good-for-nothing.

To treat her sister’s eyes, Huo Ran kills traitors and blows up arms depots, even at the cost of her entire fortune.

Everyone is waiting to see Huo Ran get dragged down by this burden.

But when the enemy points a gun at Huo Ran’s head...

The blind second young lady suddenly takes off her sunglasses and, with a flick of her wrist, sends a throwing knife straight into a Japanese soldier’s head!

Song Jiayu: “You dare lay a hand on my person? Who gave you the nerve?”

Out in the world, Huo Ran is Agent White Dove, a feared operative who kills without blinking.

At home, she’s an apron-wearing housewife who has to report in to her darling every day.

Huo Ran: “Can’t be helped. My darling has only just regained her sight, and she thinks everyone looks like an enemy. I have to indulge her.” (lights cigarette.jpg)
