Cyberbullied After Retirement: My Family's Generations of Loyal Heroes Are Exposed

My name is Lin Chen. "Zhulong" is my codename. Three years ago, I retired early. I thought my life would fade into obscurity from then on. One day, a fire broke out in a shopping mall. Relying on instinct and experience, I used an unconventional but highly effective approach to save more than a dozen people. But footage of my "violent" rescue was edited out of context and posted online. In an instant, I became a target, vilified online as a "violent maniac" and a "glory hound." Some even dug up the fact that I had retired early and slandered me as a "deserter." The public outcry grew more and more intense. Some even dug up photos of my family's ancestral grave, mocking its blank tombstone and saying my family's "ancestors had always been shady." Hundreds of millions of internet users relentlessly attacked me online, grinding me into the dirt! They dug up the fact that I was frail and sickly, and lived on state benefits, then called me a parasite on the nation! But just as the online abuse reached its peak, an official media outlet made public a red-sealed confidential letter from the nation's highest military command! The letter revealed a century of distinguished service: four generations of my Lin family had laid down their lives for our country! At that moment, the entire internet was stunned! It turned out my great-grandfather had been an unsung hero who died during the War of Resistance Against Japan while covering the retreat of the main force. My grandfather, who had gone missing, was the first War God, entrusted with guarding a forbidden zone! My father, who died in his prime, was the hero codenamed "Dragon Soul"! And I was the man who had devoted his life to his country, securing ten years of peace, the God of National Protection whose name had been erased from military history! That blank tombstone was there because their achievements had once been classified. When my true identity was revealed, the entire internet erupted!
