Lotus Falls in the Mountains and Seas, Power Shakes the Underworld

- Background: After the ending of Mysterious Lotus Casebook, Li Lianhua did not truly “live out the rest of his days.” The Bicha poison had not been fully cured, but he could at least keep it under control. He lived in a dilapidated fishing village on the East Sea coast, spending his days fishing and gazing at the sea. Now and then, he treated the neighbors’ minor ailments in exchange for a jug of cheap wine or a bowl of hot porridge. He was no longer the legendary Li Xiangyi, but simply an “idle man” hoping to spend the rest of his life in peace. The Lotus Tower was long gone. Perhaps the only thing he still cherished was the rusted sword Shaoshi, casually propped against the corner of his shabby hut.

- Trigger: One night, a once-in-a-century tsunami swept in. The gale tore apart his hut, and the monstrous waves dragged him into the sea. Just as he thought he would end up at the bottom of the ocean, a strange bolt of purple lightning struck from the sky, tearing open the night and a rift in time and space. A powerful force dragged him and his sword inside, and his consciousness plunged into darkness.
