The Kept Prince’s Comeback: Two Consorts Escort the Laid-Back Emperor

Xiao Jingyuan, Crown Prince of the Dayao Dynasty, appears to be carefree and pleasure-seeking, but in truth he is wise and perceptive beneath the surface. Political rivalries simmer at court, powerful maternal relatives eye the throne, and his position as heir hangs by a thread.

The Noble Consort holds power, the Thirteenth Prince presses his advantage, and civil and military factions vie for influence. Yet the Crown Prince is dismissed as a useless layabout, unfit for the job.

He can only keep up his easygoing life as Crown Prince by living off his two Crown Princesses.

Shen Zhiyi plots to control the game, while Qin Fengyao wields her sword to protect their position. One plays the delicate, innocent beauty, while the other puts on the face of a cold-blooded fiend.

The three work together in perfect accord, neutralizing crises at court before they can take shape. Fine food and palace intrigue are both in their hands.

While others struggle bitterly for power, he leisurely samples the dishes. While everyone else lives in fear and tries to protect themselves, he sits high in the Eastern Palace, savoring delicacies from across the realm.

Once the empire is secure and all under heaven have pledged their allegiance, the laid-back emperor becomes a wise ruler of a golden age, smiling as he watches peace and prosperity spread throughout the land.
