After getting fired and saddled with enormous debts, Gu Yunzhou thought his life had hit rock bottom. He planned to scrape by and wait to die in the rundown antique shop his grandfather had left him.
Then he repaired an old music box, and some contraption calling itself the “Everything Repair System” dropped out of nowhere.
The System didn’t give him money, power-ups, or cultivation advice. Its only hobby was assigning him jobs to fix all kinds of bizarre junk: a pen that ran away from home on its own, an antique motorcycle that raced around in the middle of the night, an old pocket watch that cried and begged to find its owner...
Only then did Gu Yunzhou discover that the world wasn’t as simple as it seemed. Every old object bearing the marks of time and emotion housed a unique “object spirit.”
Repair was the only way to awaken them.
But while he was caught up in his daily battles of wits with these haughty, chatty, and socially awkward object spirits, a mysterious organization that hunted them had already set its sights on him.
“Wait, don’t come any closer!” Gu Yunzhou held up a hammer he had just repaired, close to tears. “I really just fix things!”
This is a story about repair, encounters, and protecting what matters.
