Journey to the West: Wukong System, Rising Against the Heavens

Lin Yue transmigrates as Sun Wukong, fresh from the stone and newly born. Before he can even savor the thrill of becoming the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, a System announcement rings out in his mind, leaving him stunned:

[Heaven-Defying Rise System successfully bound. Host can complete missions to unlock supreme divine abilities, devour the fortune of heaven and earth, and turn their fate around!]

Knowing the story of Journey to the West by heart, Lin Yue is shaken to his core. What about causing Havoc in Heaven and getting trapped beneath Five Elements Mountain? What about Journey to the West and becoming a puppet of the Buddhist sect?

With a System on his side, that plot has to change!

Learn divine abilities? The Seventy-Two Transformations are too weak. If he’s going to learn something, it’ll be a supreme art capable of tearing apart chaos!

Storm Heaven? What’s Lingxiao Palace to him? He’ll overturn the nine heavens and make the Jade Emperor pour Old Sun a drink!

Fight the Tathagata? Five-Finger Mountain? Just watch Old Sun smash your Spirit Mountain with one blow of his staff!

From then on, the world of Journey to the West had a different kind of Sun Wukong.

He steals the Peaches of Immortality and pilfers immortal pills, not for a moment’s pleasure, but to refine his origins and forge an indestructible body;

He strides across the Eastern Sea and storms the Underworld, not to show off, but to take control of his own destiny and keep Flower-Fruit Mountain safe for generations to come;

He bows to neither Buddha nor Daoist patriarch. He trusts only the Golden Cudgel in his hand and the System’s heaven-defying powers!

“Old Jade Emperor, quit shaking in Lingxiao Palace. Old Sun is here!”

“You bald Tathagata, no matter how big your palm is, can it block Old Sun’s heaven-defying path?”

In this life, Wukong is born with a System, determined to break every shackle, defy all the gods and Buddhas in the heavens, and forge a path to invincibility that belongs to him alone!
