Dissonance

When the laws of physics begin to fail, and the world becomes a nightmare from which no one can wake, reason and order are our last line of defense.

Lin Zhou, a reclusive genius and precision-instrument engineer obsessed with invention and logic, received a “gift” from an unknown source in his mind: blueprints for technology far beyond its time. At first, he thought they were just delusions of a deranged mind, until the entire world began to fall apart. Space folded, time fractured, and indescribable horrors seeped through cracks in reality. This global catastrophe came to be called “Dissonance.”

Amid the crisis, Lin Zhou used the blueprints in his mind to turn his basement into a fortress against the collapse of reality. He joined forces with Shen Tong, a leading physicist. One turned the mad blueprints into reality; the other gave cold technology a theoretical soul. They had to fight not only the encroaching apocalypse, but also fanatics who embraced chaos and saw the catastrophe as a path to “ascension.”

This is a war waged with gears and circuits against the ultimate chaos of the universe. As the torch of human civilization nears extinction, they must use mortal bodies to forge a miracle that anchors reality and build a final refuge for humanity's reason and existence.
