Jining in Flames: Our War Against Japan

Shanxi merchants and their business traditions + the Inner Mongolian grasslands + ethnic unity + nationwide resistance against Japan + tunnel warfare + a merchant's secret codebook

When a sixteen-year-old boy with a slingshot takes up his grandfather's map of the merchant routes, the camel bells of northern Shanxi turn into the gunshots of the War of Resistance Against Japan. This isn't a legend, but the story of countless ordinary people defending their homeland through blood and fire!

The Wang family, owners of an oil mill in Jining, face Japanese pursuit, join the revolutionary movement, and embark on an epic struggle against the Japanese invaders. Wang He grows from an innocent boy into a resistance hero. Through the perspective of one family, the novel portrays the nationwide resistance and celebrates its indomitable spirit.
