Investiture of the Gods in Plain Language

Where did the immortals in ancient China come from? It's a fascinating question, and this version of Investiture of the Gods offers one answer. In this novel, readers can find familiar immortal figures such as Empress Nuwa, the Jade Emperor, Taishang Laojun, Erlang Shen, Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King Li, Nezha, and many more. Adapted from the classic novel of the same name, this work describes the wars at the end of the Shang dynasty and the rise of the Zhou dynasty in modern vernacular Chinese.
