A Flower in a Cage and Snow in the Palm of Your Hand

Su Yan first meets Fu Sinian in an abandoned factory as rain pours down. The man is chained to a rusted iron frame, covered in wounds, yet a venomous fire burns in his eyes. He looks like a lone wolf trapped in a cage. She thinks she has simply come across someone in need of help, unaware that fate has handed her a set of shackles.

Fu Sinian is the “Raven,” a name that strikes fear throughout the underworld. His hands are stained with blood, yet when Su Yan bandages his wounds, he lets her press an iodine-soaked swab against an old scar, like a beast with its claws drawn in.
